Renovations • Carpentry • Home Improvements

A home should feel
well cared for.

Fort Haven is a Southern Maine renovation and carpentry company helping homeowners improve the places they live — from bathrooms, decks and kitchens to doors, windows, structural changes, exterior work and focused carpentry projects.

Our purpose

Good work starts with understanding what your home needs.

We take the time to understand what you're trying to improve, what's working now, and what isn't. From there, we build a clear plan and keep you informed as the work moves forward.

Some customers call us about a bathroom or kitchen renovation. Others need a new deck, replacement doors, exterior carpentry, structural changes or a smaller project that's finally ready to get done. We want Fort Haven to be a company homeowners can call for all of those things.

Whatever the size of the project, our expectations stay the same: show up prepared, communicate clearly, build it correctly and leave behind work we're proud to put the Fort Haven name on.

Structural renovations

Open up a room. Make the house work better.

Older homes don't always fit the way families live today. Opening a wall, widening a doorway or changing a window opening can improve natural light, sightlines and the way rooms connect.

Fort Haven handles the carpentry and structural side of these projects, including framing, beams, new openings, windows and doors, while coordinating licensed trades or engineering when the project requires them.

Before we begin

Questions are part of a good plan.

What kinds of projects do you take on?

Bathrooms, kitchens, decks and porches, windows and doors, structural changes, interior and exterior carpentry, siding and trim, flooring, rot replacement and other home-improvement projects. If you're not sure whether your project fits, send it to us anyway.

What happens after I request an estimate?

We review the details you share, then reach out to learn more about the home, the work you're considering and the right next step.

How will I know what is happening during the work?

Clear communication is part of how we run a project. We talk through expectations before work begins and keep you informed as the project moves forward.

Ready when you are.

Have a project in mind? Let's talk about it.

Tell us what you're looking to build, replace, renovate or improve. We'll take a look and help you figure out the right next step.
